About Cara

Teacher . Writer . Blogger . Maker

Cara has been a teacher since 2013. With a Master’s Degree in Literacy, it has always been her passion to teach others to love reading and writing. In 2020, quarantine presented a unique opportunity for Cara and she seized that opportunity to begin writing. Seasonally themed, her romance novels will give you all the feels. When she is not teaching or writing, she is home in New York enjoying time with her husband, daughter, and Cocker Spaniel.

This site was originally created as a platform for her to share her passion for living a seasonal life. Read her message below to see what Living Life Seasonably is all about.

If you live someplace like me, you get to experience all four seasons. Living Life Seasonably simply means embracing them and being mindful of all they have to offer. Mindfulness is “the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.” I don’t claim to be an expert on this topic by any means. However, nothing allows me to be more mindful of my surroundings and more conscious of my day-to-day life than living seasonably; pumpkins in the Fall, snowmen in the Winter, flowers in the Spring, and seashells in the Summer. I find that by living seasonably, I have grown to discover a healthy sense of time. Months rarely seem to “fly by” because I remember how long it took me to decorate, set up for the season, etc. Similarly, months don’t really seem to “drag on” either because I always have something to look forward to which keeps life moving. This allows me to feel like I am living mindfully.
